Key responsibilities:
Execute weekly payment runs for all legal entities, including ad-hoc and urgent payment requests, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Review, validate, and approve staff expense claims in the Concur system, ensuring compliance with company policies and guidelines. Independently manage and align stakeholders' understanding and expectations regarding expense claims.
Perform key month-end closing activities, including journal postings, AICO transactions, month-end schedule reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Support AP accountant in the preparation of GST returns to IRAS on a quarterly basis, maintain accurate shipping documents and permits for regulatory compliance. Ensuring timely submission and proper reconciliation.
Support in GST schemes renewal processes.
Perform monthly customer receipt clearing and ensure accurate allocation.
Perform key month-end closing activities, including journal postings, AICO transactions, month-end schedule reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Execute internal control tasks on time each month, ensuring adherence to IFRS standards, group policies, and internal controls.
Assist in audit processes, tax audits, and statutory reporting, liaising with both internal and external auditors.
Support in Finance projects where applicable.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations and compliance.
Other Duties: Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA/CA qualification is added advantage.
More than 5 years of working experience in a similar capacity
Proven experience in accounts payable, expense claims validation, GST filing.
Good knowledge of IFRS standards, GST regulations, and internal controls.
Proficiency in Concur, SAP, or similar ERP systems.
Positive working attitude and excellent interpersonal skill.
Organized, proactive and result-oriented
Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, resourceful, team player and the ability to work independently.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
