Facilities and Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Maintenance Technician to join our high-performing Facilities and Engineering team. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing critical equipment and facility systems in a GMP-regulated biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production, utility, laboratory, and building systems (e.g., HVAC, electrical panels, water systems).
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues and implement timely solutions.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, equipment status, and parts used in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Interpret blueprints, schematics, P&IDs, and equipment manuals for diagnostics and repairs.
Support ongoing GMP compliance by adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
Participate in audits, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to coordinate maintenance projects or equipment installations.
Ensure safe work practices at all times, including use of PPE and adherence to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, and electrical safety procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
2+ years of experience in industrial, facilities, or manufacturing maintenance (mechanical, electrical, or multi-skilled)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instruments
Willingness to work on a shift schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed
Preferred:
Associate’s degree or technical certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Technology
Experience working in a GMP-regulated or cleanroom environment
Familiarity with CMMS (e.g., SAP)
Knowledge of PLCs, instrumentation, or HVAC systems is a plus
