Director, Global Process Owner Warehouse & Logistics Strategy & Operations

The role: We are looking for an experienced and strategic leader to join our Global Supply Chain Excellence & Transformation organization as Director, Global Process Owner Warehouse & Logistics Strategy & Operations.
In this highly visible global role, you will act as a key enabler of the One Lonza and Group Operations efficiency agenda by translating strategic priorities, standardized ways of working, and operational excellence principles into warehouse and transport execution across our worldwide network.
You will establish and lead the Warehouse & Logistics Governance framework, drive logistics strategy execution across sites and platforms, and optimize network, warehouse, and transportation performance. Working across multiple business functions, you will ensure alignment between strategic initiatives and operational execution while delivering measurable improvements in inventory performance, service reliability, and cost-to-serve.
This role is ideal for a leader who combines deep warehousing and logistics expertise with strong governance, transformation, and stakeholder management capabilities.

What you will do:
Own the global Warehouse & Logistics strategy and governance agenda.
Lead warehousing and transportation transformation initiatives across the network.
Establish governance frameworks, KPIs, and performance standards.
Drive logistics network optimization and 3PL/carrier performance.
Act as the global process owner for warehouse and logistics execution.
Partner with senior stakeholders to align logistics and supply chain priorities.
Deliver improvements in service, inventory performance, business continuity, and cost-to-serve.
What we are looking for:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Extensive experience in warehousing and logistics within complex global matrix organizations, with a proven track record delivering multi-site transformation initiatives.
Strong expertise in logistics strategy, network optimization, transportation management, and 3PL/carrier performance management.
Demonstrated success establishing governance frameworks, operational standards, and performance management processes to drive sustainable business outcomes.
Experience leading ERP-enabled logistics transformations, preferably involving SAP EWM and/or SAP S/4HANA environments.
Strong program and project management capabilities, combined with a continuous improvement mindset and knowledge of quality and compliance requirements in regulated environments.
Excellent stakeholder management, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and effectively navigate complex, fast-paced, and ambiguous environments; business fluent English required.
