The actual location of this job is in Visp, Switzerland. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and their families, if needed.

As a team leader, you are primarily responsible for the personnel management and development of your employees. You are also responsible for the daily tasks in the production. Due to the special interface function between management and production, this position is fundamentally important for the long-term success of Lonza. There are also regular exchange meetings with other team leaders in order to optimize efficiency together. You are responsible for training and coaching your employees, conducting performance reviews and actively supporting their further development. You are part of the management team and use your experience to actively help set up the team and the system.

What you will do:

  • Execute activities according to schedule/priorities provided by the TL
  • Executes Visual Inspection in the area of Drug Product according to cGMP guidelines
  • Setting priorities and allocating resources to meet deadlines
  • Escalate issues to TL/pikett
  • Participating in investigations of deviations and improvement projects
  • Ensuring safety and GMP compliance
  • Support in recognizing, interpreting and eliminating deviations
  • Be a trainer in VI activities
  • Provides technical and procedural support, working with the manufacturing team in a supportive way
  • Performs training activities of VI and supports others and new joiners. 

What we are looking for:

  • Completed chemical / biopharmaceutical education (CPT) or corresponding training qualification, Bachelor / Master's degree in Biotechnology, Biology, Biochemical Engineering or related disciplines is an advantage
  • Structured, focused and organized way of working, assertive and motivated, working independently, flexible and resilient
  • High attitude for Safety, Quality, Solution focus and Cooperation
  • Knowledge of VI process
  • Coordination of resources and workflows
  • Fluency in English (written and oral) and German would be an advantage
  • availability to work in 2 shifts model
