As a Customer Service Representative at Lonza AG in Greenwood, SC, you’ll be part of a world-class team dedicated to our Manufacturing operations. This role has been built to support our Consumer Health and Pharmaceutical business unit, driving positive connections and sales revenue. Key responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain positive connections with new and existing clients to drive sales revenue for the Consumer Health and Pharmaceutical business unit.
  • Generate new business opportunities through direct outreach, cold-calling, lead management, face-to-face customer visits, and trade show attendance.
  • Successfully complete sales strategies to promote products, services, and new technologies, ensuring flawless implementation and outstanding customer happiness.
  • Accurately forecast sales volumes on a monthly basis and develop selling strategies that exceed business plans as determined by management.
  • Collaborate closely with Account Solutions Representatives and Business Development Managers to expand potential business accounts and ensure seamless account setup and related activities.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to resolve issues, manage multiple projects, and meet strict timelines.
  • Show a track record of being able to work extended hours as needed to meet business and customer demands, with onsite attendance being required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by bringing strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a team-based environment.

Key requirements:
  • BS/BBA or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of customer service or direct selling experience with a proven track record of prospecting and closing deals at various revenue levels.
  • Willingness to travel for business purposes (approximately 5-10%).
  • Demonstrated success in applying a solution-selling approach and developing major account strategies.
  • Background in consumer health, dietary supplements, sports nutrition, ingredients, pharmaceuticals, or manufacturing is a plus.
  • Bilingual language proficiency may be required depending on territory assignment.
