We are seeking a motivated Global Controls Engineer to improve innovation and implement advanced technologies in our CHI operations. This position offers an outstanding opportunity to work on global initiatives, ensuring flawless execution and demonstrating your proven expertise to deliver exceptional results!

Key responsibilities:
  • Responsible for development, replication, modifications, and support of global automation systems used at sites in Belgium, France, US, Mexico, China, Japan, and India.
  • Apply advanced PLC/SCADA/Simotion proficiencies in global initiatives, with expertise in software development life cycle.
  • Build test plans to verify software fitness for use; carry out commissioning and support validation of control systems; develop accurate time estimates for control software development tasks.
  • Act as liaison between R&D and production site automation (control systems) engineers/maintenance.
  • Help management encourage colleagues to actively contribute to environmental and health safety initiatives.
  • Design modifications to existing automation systems based on process diagrams, user requirements, functional requirements, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), and machine mechanical drawings.

Key requirements:
  • Master of Science or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Robotics, all with a focus on automation.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment, and open to mentorship from senior colleagues.
  • Possess strong project development, implementation, and interpersonal skills; known for being diligent and highly organized.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
