New Product Introduction Lead

Managing and coordinating all direct material activities required to support successful technology transfers and new product introductions, this role serves as a key liaison between Supply Chain, Procurement, Program Management, and Quality to ensure seamless project execution. This is a fully site‑based role in Vacaville, CA. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

What you will do:

• Provide direct procurement support to Supply Chain technology transfer schedules, drive key workstream deliverables, and act as Change Owner for new material introductions.

• Partner with Global Procurement, clients, and network partners to source new raw materials, obtain pricing, establish procurement data, and issue purchase orders on time.

• Coordinate with Program Managers and cross-functional teams to identify, track, and mitigate material risks while establishing safety stock strategies and evaluating costs.

• Manage MRP activities for customer materials, coordinate shipments, and create purchase orders as needed to support production schedules.

• Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, Program Management, Quality, MSAT, and external stakeholders to ensure material readiness for NPI.

• Lead or support Supply Chain process improvement projects, facilitate lessons learned sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives for tech transfer processes.

• Act as a delegate for Supply Chain Technology Transfer Leads when required, including facilitating project meetings and tracking progress.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor's degree required (preferably in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field).

• Intermediate experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, or direct material purchasing processes (Purchase Requisition to Purchase Order workflows).

• Proven experience sourcing new raw materials, managing suppliers, conducting competitive bids, and applying procurement best practices.

• Hands-on experience using SAP ERP in a purchasing/procurement environment and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, cGMP-regulated environment.

• APICS CPIM certification or equivalent MRP planning certification is preferred.

• Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.
