Biotechnologist - Pilot Operations - 12-month Fixed Term Contract
Location: Slough UK
We are excited to offer an outstanding opportunity for a Biotechnologist to join our Pilot Operations unit on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. This role is vital in supporting the execution of both new and existing processes during pilot scale operations. Key responsibilities:- Work as part of a team, strictly following defined processes and performing moderately complex tasks with peer support.
- Plan and manage daily tasks related to operating plant equipment.
- Prepare datafile forms and batch records on the plant for pilot batch execution.
- Order raw materials from the warehouse for either USP or DSP operations, maintaining close communication with other scientists within the pilot team.
- Ensure that laboratory areas are maintained through inventory management of consumables and raw materials, upholding high standards of cleanliness and equipment maintenance.
- Guarantee the quality and accuracy of scientific data input into batch records, recognizing and communicating anomalous results to the team.
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify and complete continuous improvement activities aimed at reducing costs, growing yield, and improving efficiency.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a functional team.
- Understanding of numerical data analysis.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills across the team.
- Outstanding attention to detail, self-motivation, and a positive attitude with a desire to develop technically in the area of expertise (USP or DSP).
