Lonza AG, a top player in life sciences, invites you to help better the world. We need a Biotechnologist II for night shift in New Hampshire.

This night shift position runs from 7pm to 7am, with a rotating schedule:

  • Week 1: M/T/F/SAT/SUN

  • Week 2: W/TH

Lonza is seeking an outstanding Biotechnologist III for our Manufacturing team in New Hampshire, USA. This role allows you to contribute to a top-tier manufacturing team producing therapeutic proteins under cGMP conditions. You will drive process recipes accurately, follow SOPs, oversee equipment and processes, and conduct vital lab tasks. Troubleshooting equipment, managing deviations, reviewing batch records, and maintaining logs are essential for our operations. Join us in our dynamic and inclusive environment!

Key accountabilities to include:

  • Set up, operate equipment, and monitor production processes, including clean-in-place (CIP) and steam-in-place (SIP) operations. Report production in written and electronic documents in accordance with good manufacturing practices (GMPs) and good documentation procedures (GDPs). Troubleshoot issues and review documentation as appropriate.

  • Demonstrate proficiency and understanding of suite-specific production activities and laboratory tasks such as bioreactor inoculation, chromatography column operation, product sampling, and the scientific theory behind these operations. Train other associates on these tasks and theories.

  • Perform administrative tasks such as attending shift exchanges, meetings, sending/receiving emails, participating in projects, and technical writing (deviations, document change forms, etc.).

  • Attain qualification for all assigned tasks and maintain an individual training plan.

  • Perform material movements, transferring raw materials and chemicals into, out of, and across production areas.

  • Maintain facility and equipment through routine cleaning and sanitization, supporting 6S programs.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; AS/BS in a science-related subject area is a plus.

  • 3-5 years of experience in Biotech/Pharma working within a GMP environment.

  • Strong logic, decision-making abilities, and critical thinking skills.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

  • Flexible and adaptable to changing business priorities, actively seeking and incorporating feedback for continuous improvement.
