Today, Lonza is a global leader in life sciences operating across five continents. While we work in science, there’s no magic formula to how we do it. Our greatest scientific solution is talented people working together, devising ideas that help businesses to help people. In exchange, we let our people own their careers. Their ideas, big and small, genuinely improve the world. And that’s the kind of work we want to be part of.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead cleaning processes for equipment in Module L, including cleaning concepts, risk analyses, and implementation of measures.

  • Prepare and review production documentation, ensuring compliance with cGMP standards.

  • Conduct manufacturing activities, troubleshoot equipment issues, and resolve production challenges.

  • Oversee the qualification, validation, and lifecycle maintenance of cleaning processes.

  • Drive innovation and improvements in cleaning practices for the production plant.

  • Train operators on cleaning tasks, such as swabbing and visual inspection.

  • Prepare and update DeltaV recipes for equipment and facility components.

  • Represent the team during customer audits and site visits.

  • Perform additional duties as required.

What we’re looking for:

  • Education: Master’s or PhD in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field (no prior industry experience required for MS). Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of relevant experience.

  • Skills & Knowledge: Strong expertise in biotechnology and/or biotechnical engineering, preferably in microbial fermentation. Basic understanding of GMP is an advantage.

  • Languages: Fluency in English is required; German proficiency is a plus.

  • Personal Attributes: Well-organized and collaborative with a practical approach. Open to new ideas, highly motivated, and adaptable. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and their families, if needed.

Every day, Lonza’s products and services have a positive impact on millions of people. For us, this is not only a great privilege, but also a great responsibility. How we achieve our business results is just as important as the achievements themselves. At Lonza, we respect and protect our people and our environment. Any success we achieve is no success at all if not achieved ethically.

People come to Lonza for the challenge and creativity of solving complex problems and developing new ideas in life sciences. In return, we offer the satisfaction that comes with improving lives all around the world. The satisfaction that comes with making a meaningful difference.
