Associate Program Manager - Commercial

Join Lonza AG as an Associate Program Manager - Commercial in Greenwood, SC, USA, coordinating production, maintaining formulations, fulfilling orders, and connecting with customers.

Key responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary internal lead for assigned customer programs, ensuring all deliverables for production runs are on track.
  • Supervise and handle the formulation catalog in SAP to ensure up-to-date raw material information and manufacturing specifications.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service to ensure flawless order entry, goods issue, and invoicing processes.
  • Coordinate production planning, incoming materials, QC, batch releases, and shipping timelines for active orders.
  • Propel achievements linked to raw material readiness, production, batch release, and shipment for assigned programs.
  • Align and drive internal teams on customer-specific shipping, labeling, customer-supplier raw materials, pick-ups, and documentation requirements.
  • Drive the completion of actions and timely delivery for all stages of the programs.
  • Act as the operational point of contact for assigned accounts alongside the Account Manager.
  • Participate in and lead regular customer business reviews, providing operational updates and proactive communication on program status, risks, and improvement plans.
  • Support customer complaint handling and internal root-cause analysis, coordinating internal investigations, and presenting resolutions back to customers.
  • Maintain and update project trackers and PM tools for all active projects.
  • Track achievement adherence, identify and record root-causes of delays, and propose corrective actions.
  • Provide regular updates on portfolio health, critical risks, and delivery outlook for leadership, sales partners, and the customer.
  • Support Sales and Account Management for forecasting and strategic account planning.
  • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the commercial execution process.
  • Support initiatives sought at improving lead times, customer happiness, and commercial execution processes.

Key requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Nutrition, Lifesciences, or a related field (Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred).
  • PMP or relevant PM certification is helpful.
  • 0-4 years of experience in Customer Service, Project Coordination, preferably in nutraceuticals CMO or food supplements.
  • Understanding of formulation-to-launch processes, experience with project planning, SAP ERP, Project Management Tools, and Supply Chain.
  • Solid ability to balance aggressive demands and collaborate optimally across different areas.
  • Strong presentation skills to efficiently implement customer programs and ensure detailed execution.
