 The work location for this position is Visp, Switzerland. Relocation support is available, if needed, for eligible candidates and their families. 

At the Visp site, we are seeking an Associate Director Manufacturing Bioconjugates(m/f/d). In this role, you will support the growth of the Bioconjugates business by leading a new production lines for commercial production. You will have overall responsibility for manufacturing performance in terms of quality, output, and safety, and you will be a member of the Bioconjugate Manufacturing Leadership Team IBEX. 

This is a fully sitebased role. Working together in person supports close, realtime collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

What you will do: 

  • Lead and develop a multidisciplinary manufacturing organization consisting of Managers, Specialists and Bioprocess Engineers. 

  • Ensure the execution of all production campaigns within your respective production lines in compliance with safety, quality, and environmental protection guidelines 

  • Take responsibility for all personnel-related matters, including qualification, development, coaching, recruitment, compensation, and disciplinary issues 

  • Serve as a member of the Manufacturing Leadership Team IBEX 

  • Act as the subject matter expert and key contact for all questions related to production planning (S&OP process), technical evaluations, and feasibility studies 

  • Ensure and continuously improve regular performance and results monitoring through weekly reports, dashboards, Hoshin boards, and other reporting tools 

  • Lead or participate in CAPEX projects 

What we are looking for: 

  • Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field 

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in chemical or biotechnology manufacturing, preferably in leadership roles, MSAT, Engineering, or similar functions 

  • Comprehensive GMP knowledge 

  • Clear and persuasive communication skills in English, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders across the organization 

  • Good understanding of finance and HR processes and related topics
