Associate Director, Scientific Digital Lead

This is an office‑first role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and team alignment, enabling us to deliver our best work. You will work primarily in the office, with the flexibility to work remotely for 20% of your time (one day per week).

What you will do:
Drive digital innovation within ADS by identifying opportunities where data, AI, and computational technologies can enhance scientific outcomes.
Partner closely with scientists and business stakeholders to understand challenges and translate them into impactful digital solutions.
Define digital use cases, success criteria, user stories, and high-level functional requirements.
Lead cross-functional agile teams including subject matter experts, data scientists, data engineers, designers, and IT partners.
Manage solution delivery from concept to deployment, ensuring adoption, value realization, and stakeholder alignment.
Monitor emerging scientific and digital trends and recommend future capabilities that strengthen R&D performance.
Act as a thought leader and mentor, helping grow digital capabilities across the organization.
What we are looking for:
Master’s or PhD degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline or equivalent experience.
Solid experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CDMO, CRO, or related scientific environments.
Experience applying digital, data science, computational, or AI-driven approaches to research and development challenges.
Proven ability to translate scientific needs into scalable digital products, capabilities, or solutions.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Experience with digital transformation, scientific workflow digitalization, analytics, AI/ML, or innovation strategy is advantageous.
