The ADS Asset Head manages the operational activities of a manufacturing unit with overall responsibility of manufacturing execution regarding safety, quality and on-time-in full delivery. Leads a team of production leaders, supervisors and specialists. Is accountable for the performance and results of the assigned area including cost control. Manages the operational readiness and provides leadership to the CQ-project team incl. the post OQ Start-up within the investment / Capex Projects. Secures the integration of the new facility/unit into the overall manufacturing network. Is a member of the Investment Project & Manufacturing Leadership Teams

What you’ll do:
- Leading a team of production managers (chemists/ biologists), supervisors and specialists with full responsibility for all aspects of human resource management such as qualification, development, coaching, hiring, pay decisions and discipline issues.
- Accountable for the execution of all production campaigns in his/her manufacturing unit with regard to safety, quality and environmental requirements
- First contact person in case of production issues in his/her manufacturing unit according to the common escalation guidelines.
- Supports the production teams with his/her expertise in solution finding
and trouble shooting - Keeps an overview on production costs and provides the POV forecast
for the production campaigns in his/her area of responsibility. Is
involved in budgeting process for preparation of product cost
calculations for standard prices. - Executes risk analysis and manufacturing workplace inspections.
- As a member of the functional Leadership Team responsible for all aspect of general production management such as housekeeping, staff behavior, training activities and control of general
- processes and installations.
- Operational specialist and frequent contact for BU team members in all questions of production planning (S&OP process), technical evaluations and feasibility requests.
- Responsible for regular performance control such as weekly report, dashboard, Hoshin Board and other reporting tools
- Deputy of the head of organization during his/her absence
- Manufacturing project leader or team member in CAPEX projects
- Responsible for ensuring timely end-user input throughout all phases of the investment project.
- Responsible for securing the preparation of operating procedures & documentation, the maintenance planning and training
- Establish preparation and organization the relevant start-up measures within the investment projects together with the relevant functions and stakeholders
- Drives proactive the successful hand-over of the Invest-projects to the manufacturing team including the right level of training and correct documentation.
What we’re looking for:
- Academical degree (Master, PhD or comparable) in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or related disciplines
- Strong and proven leadership skills, and high level of self-motivation, integrity, perseverance and result orientation
- Significant work experience in chemical manufacturing preferably in leadership positions
- Broad chemical expertise and knowledge in chemical engineering
- Deep GMP and EHS knowledge
- Fluency in English, German as a prerequisite
- Understanding of business and financial processes is advantageous
- Practical experience of OE / LEAN – methodology is a plus
