18 Month FTC - Facilities Support Assistant

The role:The Facilities Support Assistant position at Lonza AG offers an outstanding opportunity to be part of a world-class team dedicated to maintaining outstanding facilities. You will be responsible for supporting the Facilities Manager on the delivery of the day-to-day Facilities Operations for the Lonza Biologics Slough Site. Working closely with our Contract Service Provider under the supervision of the Facilities Manager to ensure that they complete their contractual agreements.
Please note that you will be deputised for ON Call and as the Facilities Manager for both the Slough and Cambridge sites!
Key responsibilities:Review Service Provider job requests and propose/monitor improvements against jobs raised.
Collaborate with all levels of the site to deliver a high-class service.
Own and support others in the delivery of quality systems such as CAPA, Change Control, Deviation, Risk Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, and other Quality Systems.
Act as a role model and support compliance with high safety standards through the Facilities function.
Support and actively promote safety improvement programs.
Participate in activities that drive a culture change to reduce errors and incidents.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and better working methods to ensure value for money.
Establish and monitor critical metrics to ensure the Service Provider's performance is recorded and reviewed. Take necessary actions to address performance gaps when identified.
Candidates should have a customer-focused approach when dealing with collaborators.
HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Facilities-related topics.
Proven experience in the Facilities Management sector, specifically working on large sites accommodating at least 500 employees.
